I don't know what purpose that blackout served, but at least it stopped my brother from whining that he wasn't getting to do anything useful.
We spent most of the day assigned to various gun shops, making sure no, ah, merchandise was looted. Most people we apprehended were just scared - kept talking about needing protection against the 'voices in the dark' - but for some, their purpose was much more sinister.
On the plus side, we
did manage to personally apprehend a small-time arms dealer who the office has been trying to nab for years. Apparently, they thought this was a good time to bypass the intermediary (and the exorbitant fees, no doubt), and stock up on their supplies.
That arrest alone was enough to put us in the Chief's good books for a while - provided big brother doesn't insult him again, that is.
He probably had a little too much fun catching suspects - but seeing as I haven't seen him this happy
since Camelot in weeks, I'm not complaining.
People are calling it a 'freak accident', but honestly,
the sun went out. You cannot tell me that is a natural phenomenon.
And if it is, New York is stranger than I first thought.
